Specimens - Photos taken through microscopes. (Note that all identifications of species are my own, but not to be taken as definitive! Corrections or further information are welcome.)

Photomicrographs by Graham Matthews - These include examples of photos taken using interference contrast and of the use of Helicon Focus to stack images.

Detached Vorticella - this picture illustrates the "sping" mechanism normally hidden by attached vegetation, which allows the Vorticella to extend its head to grab food etc. (I named this specimen "Zebedee" after the character from the 1960s TV series "The Magic Roundabout".)
